The consolidation of moving traffic orders and consultation

This report details the proposal to consolidate and digitise traffic orders. As part of the digitisation and consolidation of traffic orders a survey was conducted of the entire borough, this survey has mapped all parking bays, yellow lines, and restrictions and this data is available in a Geographic Information System (GIS) format and on a digital map called Mapper. Mapper gives us the capability to digitally map new and amended traffic orders for all static restrictions in the borough. Mapper enables citizens to view parking contraventions and restrictions online by clicking on a user-friendly map. Currently Citizens must make a request to the authority to obtain information on restrictions within the borough etc.
To use the Mapper system efficiently for traffic orders, we need to consolidate our existing traffic orders.
