Lambeth’s CCTV is managed by PPARS 24-hrs, 7 days per week at the Shakespeare Road site. The asset register lists 502 cameras situated across Town Centres, Housing Estates, main thoroughfares and transport hubs. To date 30% of the cameras are obsolete and recording technology is outdated (11-15 years old). Replacement parts for cameras & recording equipment are no longer being manufactured and the system is in need of a significant upgrade and renewal.
The proforma seeks approval of a contract award for a one-off open tender procurement exercise to approve a single contractor to deliver a new, future proofed CCTV Infrastructure programme for Lambeth, which will replace the existing system.
The estimated total maximum contract value will be £3m over the contract term to
· Fit out of a new CCTV control room, upgrade/refresh to a
· modern scalable suite.
· Complete infrastructure renewal replacing the existing analogue systems moving to digital
· Programme installing new technology and operating systems.
· Camera replacement, enhancement, and relocation
