This decision is about the proposed additional
spend of £1m on an existing procurement contract to procure
Laptops and associated products and services. There is a huge
demand in the world for laptops as organisations prepare for staff
working from home due to COVID 19. This exposes the council to
multiple risks of availability and pricing in the supply chain.
This is being proposed as current COVID 19 situation is not ideal
for getting good value through a new procurement due to economic
and supply chain uncertainty.
