The purpose of this report is to highlight the
short unexpired term remaining on the leases of 11 residential
flats owned by the Council, and to suggest a statutory basis for
extending the leases.
Retaining these properties in Council ownership could save the payment of dilapidation costs to freeholders and would assist in long term planning.
