The commission looked at various aspects of digital
accessibility including the website user interface, frontline
access & support and procedures & processes, and makes
recommendations aimed at securing improvements in these areas in
order that residents with access needs are not disadvantaged by the
‘channel shift’ from more traditional forms of customer
interaction to digital.
The Cabinet report will consist of a cover report providing background, the Commission’s final report (including a series of recommendations), and a departmental action plan responding to these recommendations, for which approval will be sought.
