The report is to update Cabinet on the work that has been undertaken since approval was given to enter into a conditional contract with Muse Developments in November 2013, to update them on resultant development of the project since, and confirm the basis of entering into an unconditional contract with Muse Developments shortly thereafter, which will happen provided key tests are met, such as obtaining planning approval, and overall financial viability. The programme consolidates the Council innto two principal office buildings, leading to substantial financial savings, whilst creating more homes on sites vacated during the process, together with other community benefits.
