Stop CPZ on Tulse Hill Estate

We the undersigned petition the Council to To stop the proposed plans to introduce parking controls on Tulse Hill Estate (THE)

There is not an issue of nuisance parking on the estate. I myself have lived her my whole life and never had an issue finding parking outside my home.

The permits will not cost £31.79 forever, it'll most likely rise to well over £100 in line with other estates in Lambeth.

Council response

Dear Kashera Singh,

Thank you for submitting the petition and sharing yours and your neighbour's views on the Tulse Hill parking controls proposal.

We have recently consulted with all Tulse Hill estate residents, asking for their views on the proposal to introduce parking controls.

A 3-week consultation was carried out between 20 May and 10 June 2022, which included the erection of Notices on lamp columns in the area, the publication of the Council's intentions in the local paper, and the London Gazette.

A copy of the proposed traffic management order (TMO), detailed plans of the proposals, and the Council's Statement of Reasons were available for inspection at Lambeth Civic Centre upon appointment. The documents were available on the council website, and a newsletter was distributed to all properties within the consultation areas. An email address was also provided for residents to make their representation for or against the scheme, which I understand you responded to at the time.

During the consultation, our parking team members also attended a Tulse Hill TRA ( Tenants resident association ) meeting to discuss the proposals with residents and hear their views.

The feedback from all residents is currently being reviewed, and the final decision will be communicated to all residents within the Tulse Hill estate. Your petition has been added to the consultation feedback and will be considered part of the decision-making process.

Yours sincerely
