Confirmation of Class MA Article 4 Directions

12/07/2022 - Confirmation of Class MA Article 4 Directions

1.         That the Council proceeds to confirm the non-immediate Article 4 direction to remove Class MA permitted development rights for change of use from commercial, business and service uses (use class E) to residential (use class C3) in respect of the whole of the London Central Activities Zone as it relates to Lambeth made on 29 July 2021 and coming into force on 1 August 2022.

 

2.         That the Council proceeds to confirm the non-immediate Article 4 direction to remove Class MA permitted development rights for change of use from commercial, business and service uses (use class E) to residential (use class C3) in respect of the land designated as Key Industrial and Business Areas not falling within the Brixton Creative Enterprise Zone or the Central Activities Zone, and the West Norwood Creative Business Cluster made on 29 July 2021 and coming into force on 1 August 2022.

 

3.         That the Council proceeds to confirm the non-immediate Article 4 direction to remove Class MA permitted development rights for change of use from commercial, business and service uses (use class E) to residential (use class C3) in respect of selected town centre locations: the Brixton Creative Enterprise Zone, which includes Brixton town centre; Streatham town centre, Clapham High Street primary shopping area and nine locations in and around Clapham High Street town centre; and the West Norwood/Tulse Hill primary shopping area made on 29 July 2021 and coming into force on 1 August 2022.

 

4.         To delegate authority to the Director of Planning, Transport & Sustainability to make any consequential arrangements to give effect to the terms of Recommendations 1, 2 and 3.
