Taking back the Lease for 11, 13 and 15 Bondway, and Converting 13 and 15 into Temporary Accommodation for the Homeless

06/09/2019 - Taking back the Lease for 11, 13 and 15 Bondway, and Converting 13 and 15 into Temporary Accommodation for the Homeless

1.    To accept the return of the lease for 11, 13 and 15 Bondway from London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L and Q) and to simultaneously re-grant the lease for number 11 back to L and Q on substantially the same terms as the existing lease for 72 years, which will permit the Council to accept the surrender of the lease for numbers 13 and 15 whilst allowing L and Q to continue licensing number 11 to St Mungo’s to provide a street homelessness assessment centre.

 

2.    To approve and allocate £1.5m to repair and convert two properties -13 and 15  Bondway - into temporary accommodation for the homeless, including paying for security to guard the premises until the work has been completed and the accommodation is let.
