Declaration of Pecuniary Interests

Meeting: 03/12/2019 - Planning Applications Committee (Item 1)

Declaration of Pecuniary Interests

Under Standing Order 4.4, where any councillor has a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest (as defined in the Members’ Code of Conduct (para. 4)) in any matter to be considered at a meeting of the Council, a committee, sub-committee or joint committee, they must withdraw from the meeting room during the whole of the consideration of that matter and must not participate in any vote on that matter unless a dispensation has been obtained from the Monitoring Officer.

Although not a pecuniary interest Councillor Ben Kind stated that at Full Council in October, he had arrived late and thought he was joining a deputation on nursery schools in the borough. He accidently appeared in a photograph for the presentation on 8 Albert Embankment. Once he had realised this, he raised it with Democratic Services, Legal and Chair and was advised to place it on record. He stated that he did not have a pre-determined view on the application.
