Agree use of Powers of Appropriation to secure
benefits provided by Phase 2 of Your New Town Hall and to allow
construction to progress.
To exercise the Council’s powers under Section 122 of the Local Government Act 1972 to appropriate the land identified at Appendix 1 (“Olive Morris House”) for planning purposes so as to engage the authorisation conferred by Section 203 Housing and Planning Act 2016 in order to facilitate the carrying out of the redevelopment of site.
To instruct the Director Infrastructure and Capital Delivery to implement Recommendation 1.
