The contracts for the Gaia Centre and refuge beds end on 31 March 2017. In light of this, we have reviewed the current financial context, value for money/ savings, state of the market and produced an options appraisal. Taking all of this into consideration, we are recommending that we directly award contracts to our two current providers via a waiver.
1. To waive Section 9 of the Lambeth Contract Standing Orders to award three Violence Against Women and Girls contracts running from 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2020 for a total value of £2,569,243:
§ £552,480 to Solace Women’s Aid for 37 refuge beds
§ £212,841 to Refuge for 15 refuge beds
§ £1,803,922 to Refuge for the Gaia Centre
