Energy Framework for the Council’s Corporate Gas and
Electricity supply contracts for the period 1 April 2017 to 31
The contracts cover the supply of gas and electricity to Council office buildings, community centres, parks and open spaces, street lighting, schools and social housing communal supplies (staircase/corridor lighting and lifts).
The proposed contracts enable the Council to undertake a longer term energy procurement strategy review, with any potential new arrangements to be implemented in April 2018.
1. To approve an extension of the CCS Energy Framework for the supply of gas and electricity to cover 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018 for an estimated total expenditure of £9,000,000.
2. To note the considerations under review in determining the Council’s future energy procurement strategy for implementation in April 2018 (detailed in section 9.3 of this report).
