Purpose:

A – To appoint lead consultant, architect and cost consultant to design the new secondary school department and assist with the procurement and management of the construction Contractors
B – To procure a suitable contractor through a compliant procurement process to design and build the secondary school department, including obtaining full planning permission.

Decision:

(1)          To appoint Willmott Dixon to build Woodmansterne Secondary Department, subject to second stage tender and up to value of £22,000,000 including contractor contingency with a client held contingency of £1,131,000, with work on site expected between January 2017 and March 2018 and a defects period to June 2019.

 

(2)          To delegate authority to the Director Major Capital Projects to enter into an overall contract if the two stage tender demonstrates Value for Money and affordability
