Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: Yes

Is subject to call in?: Yes

Purpose:

Approval of a waiver to award a one year contract to Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital Trust and King’s College Hospital for the provision of GUM and community sexual health services in Lambeth, Southwark and Bromley during the period 1.4.16 to 31.3.17.

Decision:

This report seeks permission to award, under waiver, a 12 month contract to Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital Trust (GSTT) and to King’s College Hospital Trust (KCH) for the provision of genito-urinary medicine (GUM) and reproductive sexual health (RSH) services in Lambeth and Southwark between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2017. Lambeth council will hold the contract for both boroughs and recharge Southwark according to the agreed funding split. The agreed block sums to be paid under these contracts will be for the full financial year ending 31 March 2017, so an accounting adjustment will be made to account for interim tariff based payments already made during this financial year.
