Two stand alone SEN Units are to be developed
on this existing site. The projects are to run concurrently, and
should ideally be run by 1 contractor, although the budgets will be
managed separately. The total budget is £3.7M.
This waiver report seeks approval for the appointment of Potter Raper Partnership (PRP) for the provision of Building Surveying ‘One Stop Shop’ Consultancy Services for the redevelopment of the Kennington Park site to provide an ASD centre operated by Wyvil Primary School and associated temporary accommodation; and an enhanced fit-for-purpose existing Primary PRU operated by The Parallel Learning Trust. A competitive mini tender exercise was completed in June 2013, through the approved EECP Consultant Framework, to engage the services of PRP to initially develop, design and manage the redevelopment of the Kennington site only for the Wyvil ASD Unit. Subsequently the extent of the required services has changed hence the reason for the report being a waiver report.
