The decision will
enable the contract to be raised and the works undertaken. The
total budget for the proposed works will result in the spend of
circa £18m which is made up of Targeted Basic Needs and Basic
Needs Funding.
The request for approval to appoint the successful tenderers for
the construction contract will be presented in May 2014.
1. That Elliott Group Ltd be awarded the contract for the St John’s (Angell Town) Primary School project for the term of 59 weeks starting from October 2014 until December 2015 followed by a 12 months defects liability period until December 2016 in the amount of £6,851,820.
2. That a Client-held contingency is approved, details of which are included in Part 2 of this report.
