Purpose:

Approval is sought for Phase 4b of the Council’s on-street cycle hangar installation programme, consisting of 18 new hangar sites. The report considers feedback received to informal public consultations with residents before recommending progress to the statutory consultation process.

Decision:

(1)      To note and consider the representations including objections received in respect of the proposals detailed in this report (set out in Appendix C)

 

(2)       To issue scheme approval for the installation/relocation of 18 Phase 4b cycle hangars at the locations set out in Appendix A at a total cost of £88,200.

(3)       Subject to the above approval, to agree to these schemes’ implementation under sections 6, 45, 63, 124 and Schedule 1 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, subject to no material objections resulting from the statutory consultation process, but that any objections that are received are considered by the Assistant Director of Parking, Streetworks and Commercial by way of a written report before a decision is reached.

 

(4)       To exercise discretion not to hold a public inquiry pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996.
