Purpose:

The proposed decision is to allocate an additional £6.7m to develop a New Resource Centre for Adults with Disabilities to include short term and long term accommodation on a centrally located site at Coburg Crescent, over the years 2016-17,2017-18 and 2018-19. This allocation is on top of the previously agreed allocation of £4.2m in 2014 bringing the total investment to £10.98m.

Decision:

(1)          To approve and allocate further capital investment of £6.784m, (bringing the total investment to £10.984m) in the provision of a new Resource Centre for Adults with Disabilities at Coburg Crescent.

 

(2)          To build and manage all services’ delivery option, which comprise a Day Centre, Short-Term Care Accommodation, Community Space (including café), Long Term Residential Accommodation Units for 13 Adults with Learning Disabilities and an enhanced shop.

 

(3)          The responsibility for the management and maintenance of the day centre, community space (including a café) and short term care accommodation to be decided.
